CSI/ProLogis awarded a major contract to Clarion to Design and Build
their new 132,000 s.f. freezer distribution center which included 14,000
s.f. of corporate offices in Anaheim, California.

Clarion
demolished the existing 100,000 s.f. warehouse to clear the site. The new structural iron frame supports the steel joist and
metal deck roof system, as well as two refrigeration penthouses.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Using
"Metl-Span" panels, "Dow" underfloor and over deck
insulation, "HCR Doors" and a 1200 horse power ammonia
refrigeration system, the new 38 clear building will be a West Coast
flagship for the company.

|
|
|
|
|
|
One
of the challenges of this project was maintaining the operation of the
existing 100,000 s.f. freezer facility location at the rear portion of the
site.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Another
challenge was the retrofit of the existing facility with a code compliant,
modern refrigeration plant in the new machine room which is being
constructed to run both the old and new facilities.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
With
the design and installation expertise of C & L Refrigeration, Anaheim,
California the project has been a success.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Due
to complete on 5/22/01 CSI/ProLogis will add 13,733 pallet positions to
overall capacity to better serve their Southern California customers.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The completed
building is a "State of
the Art" facility encompassing both the warehouse
and the corporate offices.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
