Carbon Dioxide is the Future of Refrigeration
Carbon Dioxide, more than just carbonation bubbles? It’s the future of refrigeration, it’s environmentally responsible, and how we need to think about construction when it comes to temperature controlled spaces. CO2 Refrigerant (R-744) is changing the way we build cold storage facilities because, according to the data, it has little to no impact on the environment with respect to global warming. California Air Resource Board (CARB) approved the phase out of HFC refrigerants starting January 2022, limiting the use of Freon in new construction.
What’s the advantage of CO2?
The California Air Resource Board and local municipality departments are happy to approve. Additionally, customers can see water and electrical savings over traditional refrigeration systems. Long term maintenance is simpler and the refrigerant is low cost.
Building with CO2 refrigeration is an investment in the future of your company and the planet.
